ABOUT US

SENIOR PASTOR

BOBBY BUCHANAN

Pastor Bobby Buchanan was born in Dallas, Texas to a preacher’s family and grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, where his dad pastored for over forty years.

He went to Central Baptist School in Baton Rouge for all his school years and was saved at the age of fifteen under the preaching of his Youth Pastor, Mike Ray. Later, he attended Hyles-Anderson College for four years, where he met his wife Laura (Stark) Buchanan.

After completing his college degree at Grace Baptist Bible Institute in Gaylord, MI, under the direction of Pastor Jon Jenkins, he served as an assistant pastor for five years. During his time in Gaylord, MI, he and Laura had two daughters, Lanora and Annalee.

Following his first ministry service in Gaylord, MI, he went to Dubuque, IA, to work for his father-in-law, Pastor Larry Stark. While in Dubuque, he and Laura had a son, Link, and he served there for two years before moving to Fort Dodge, IA, to become the Vice President of Harvest Baptist Bible College under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Smith.

After serving there for three years, he moved his family back down to Baton Rouge, LA, where he co-pastored with his dad for nine years. God then led him and his family to Midland, TX, to serve as assistant pastor to Pastor Robb Foreman. Following that, he moved back to Fort Dodge, IA, and became the principal of Harvest Baptist School.

While serving there, God called him to be the pastor at Cross Way Baptist Church in Baraboo, WI, where he has pastored since November of 2020. God has grown the church and is continuing to do so.

God has truly blessed Pastor Buchanan and his family, and he owes God all the glory. His life verse is I Peter 1:25, “But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

OUR BIBLE-BASED PRINCIPLES

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible to be God's infallible Word and supreme authority for man (2 Timothy 3:16).

And that God has preserved His perfect and infallible Word in the King James Bible.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; He being all God while manifested in the flesh. (1 John 5:5,6)

We believe in the triune Godhead, that God exists in all fullness in the person of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:23)

We believe the blood atonement is absolutely necessary for the forgiveness of sins. (Ephesians 1:7)

We believe in the new birth, that every person is born a sinner and must be born again spiritually by grace alone through faith alone, so as to find entrance into Heaven.

We believe in the local New Testament Church and its independence from any hierarchy, with Jesus Christ being its only Head. (Ephesians 5:23)

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

DAVE STANLEY

I grew up in a Christian home with a single parent, my mother, who was very faithful to the church. She worked in the music program and taught in the Christian school.

When I was 5 years old, I was waiting for my mom to finish practicing with several singing groups after church when one of her teenage piano students asked me if I was saved. I said that I wasn't sure, so she walked me through the simple plan of salvation and I asked Jesus to save me.

In 1992, during our first month of Christian college, I met my amazing wife and we got married in 1996. The Lord has blessed us with five wonderful children.

Around 2008, various circumstances shook up my world and I surrendered to whatever God wanted from me and for me. It was then that I discovered how incredible a relationship with Him could be. I dived in to help my church and pastor in whatever way I could.

Since then, He has blessed me so much, and I can't wait to see what He has in store for me next.

CHILDREN'S PASTOR

SCOTT METZGER

I was born into a preacher's home and started attending church when I was just a few days old. Both of my parents and all of my siblings had been saved by the time I was born, so I was raised in a Christian household.

When I was five years old, I realized that it was my choice to get saved. My mother walked me through the plan of salvation, and I knelt beside my bed to ask Jesus to save me.

A few weeks later, I was baptized and since then, I have dedicated myself to God's ministry. I strive to lead my family in Christian service and to serve wherever He needs us.
